It was announced today that Daymond Langkow was acquired from the Calgary Flames via trade.
The Phoenix Coyotes have reached a deal with the Calgary Flames to send Lee Stempniak to Calgary in exchange for veteran center Daymond Langkow. Langkow spent 3 seasons in Phoenix before he left for Canada and became a member of the Flames. Langkow has amassed 642 points in his NHL career and has scored 259 career goals. In his 3 seasons in Phoenix, Langkow scored 68 goals and had 98 assists.
Langkow suffered a fractured vertebrae and spinal chord injury in a game against the Wild last year. Because of this, Langkow only played in 4 games. He is now getting back to full health and is expected to be a major contributor this year in Phoenix.
