I love the internet.

Ah, today little brother comes to town.  Led by Patrick Kane, a complete clown.   This year, Hawks aren't making much of a sound, but nothing would make my day more than to see a complete beatdown.

Uh-huh, one two. Mic check.

Ok, enough of that.  I don't know where that came from, but I figured I'd try to be cool just like everyone Chicago wishes they were.  It's Jersey Shore-lite over there on the shores of Lake Michigan.  D-bag city, everywhere you look.

Hit the jump for the stat free, tough talking, game preview:

Anyways, it looks like we might have a Chris Conner sighting today, as he's been called up from the Griffs in case Bertuzzi can't go with a wonky groin.  That's going to be a game time decision.  If that's the case, Detroit will be without (in order of importance) Bert, Lidstrom, Datsyuk and Ericsson for today's game. Chicago on the other hand, will be without their leader, Toews, Niklas Hjalmarsson (concussion symptoms), LW Daniel Carcillo (knee), D Steve Montador (upper-body).

Basically that leaves us with a battle of secondary scoring, and you know which team has been great at that and which team hasn't?  I let you take a guess. I'll take a Helm/Miller over an aging Brunette any day of the week.

Plus even without Lidstrom, our offense from our D is deadly.  Smith returns tonight after scoring his first NHL goal last game.  I'd put money that we'd see at least one goal from our point tonight.  I'm saying Quincey.

Finally, in net, there's no comparasion.  Detroit has two All-Stars vs. a couple of never-was players for Chicago.   Emery is starting, taking his low .910 save percentage and 2.65 GAA with him.  I'm actually glad to see that, because 1) I think he's a terrible goaltender; 2) For whatever reason, talentless Crawford always played well against Detroit.

A Red Wing is Born!

Here's usually where the stats go, but I have no idea where Jordan gets those from.   So I'll give you a quote from Babbles instead:

"They're all 3-2 aren't they? Probably be 3-2 tomorrow. Just make sure we got 3."  -- Detroit coach Mike Babcock, referring to the final score of the first four games in the season series between Chicago and Detroit

I hope this game is a 10-2 final.  Put the hurt on 'em Wings.

Game is at 4:00 PM EST on FSD or NHL Network.
