New Jersey Devils right wing David Clarkson is expected to return for Thursday's game against the Detroit Red Wings. Clarkson had been nursing a lower body injury which forced him to miss Tuesday's tilt with the Atlantic Division rival New York Islanders. The 28-year-old Clarkson has collected 30 goals, 15 assists and 138 penalty minutes this season. New Jersey (46-28-6, 98 points) has an outside chance at securing the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference. The Devils need to win both of their remaining games and have the rival Philadelphia Flyers (46-25-9, 101 points) dropped their two contests in regulation.
