The Dominic Moore E:60 documentary debuts tonight at 7 on ESPN. I’d call it a “must watch”.
BEST OF MAXIM
Things didn’t go so well for Martin St. Louis in his first 19 regular season games with the Rangers, but the trade for him on March 5th was never about the 82 games between October and April. The deal was made because A) New York wasn’t going to re-sign Ryan Callahan and wanted max value […]
I feel clumsy, maybe even a bit stupid, for writing about NHL suspensions. Well really, it’s the lack of NHL suspensions that I’m writing about. History has shown it is a futile effort which usually ends in twitter outrage, endless GIFs, video comparisons, and lambasting the NHL for not really caring about player safety.
So with that said, let’s compare some GIFs, watch some...
The New York Rangers have brought in 10 players for this year’s postseason “Taxi Squad,” per the New York Daily News’ Pat Leonard. Here is the list:
Forwards: Marek Hrivik, Danny Kristo, Oscar Lindberg, Darroll Powe, Ryan Bourque

Since the Hartford Wolf Pack’s season is over, the...
The Rangers followed up their dud in Game Two with a convincing 4-1 win in Philly last night to take a 2-1 series lead. The win was a complete team effort with great goaltending, solid defense, and balanced offense. But don’t be fooled by the score, Philly controlled most of this game, generating a 65.2% […]
It goes without saying that the Rangers – barring unforeseen circumstances – will be offering leading scorer Mats Zuccarello a new deal in the summer. Zuccarello was a creative spark when he returned from the KHL last year and has been a stunning surprise this year – no one foresaw Zuccarello leading the Rangers offensively. […]
Daniel Carcillo was once a member of the Philadelphia Flyers, spending parts of three seasons with the team, so the New York Rangers winger is more than familiar with what fans in that city are capable of, both good and bad. Carcillo had an up close and personal experience with the bad — or at […] The post Rangers’ Daniel Carcillo scores, taunts double-middle-finger-waving...
The Rangers have called up the following players to serve as the taxi squad for this year’s playoff run: Defensemen: Conor Allen, Tommy Hughes, Dylan McIlrath, Danny Syvret Forwards: Ryan Bourque, Marek Hrivik, Danny Kristo, Oscar Lindberg, Darroll Powe Goalie: David Leneveu These players will likely not see any action, but are with the team […]
Had three questions arrive via Twitter over the past few days, and since I had absolutely no idea what to write about, I figured I’d answer them in a post. Then I posted that I had no idea what to write about for this morning, and a few more questions came in. So….thank you guys […]
The Rangers won game 3 of the NHL Playoffs against the Flyers with a commanding 4-1 victory. The Flyers played their best game of the series, but fell behind 2-0 early in the first period after the Rangers caught the bounces that they didn’t get in game 2. That turned out to be all she wrote as the Flyers were only able to squeak one goal past Henrik Lundqvist.
The New York Rangers and Philadelphia Flyers are pretty big rivals in the NHL. So the NHL could not have hoped for a better opening series as far as ratings go then these two. While heading into Game 3 the series was tied, it was the Rangers who would jump out to the series lead with a 4 – 1 victory.
The last goal was by Dan Corcillo, who after began celebrating with his teammates...

A little over a week ago, I looked at how the Rangers were going to be a dangerous opponent in the playoffs. The #fancystats screamed that the Rangers are poised to make a deep run, but the issue had always been goal scoring. No matter what the #fancystats say about puck possession, if you don’t put […]

After scoring the final goal in Tuesday night’s game, Carcillo went to the boards and raised his hands towards a displeased Flyers’ crowd. What happened next? A Philly fan wearing a Claude Giroux jersey flips off Carcillo during his celebration. You got to love the playoffs!
