Steve Zipay at Newsday reports that the one guy from the Marian Gaborik trade we haven't seen, Derek Dorsett, will begin skating this week. Zipay adds that x-rays on Dorsett's broken clavicle indicate that it's healing well. Here's Dorsett... "I've got all this built-up energy and not being able to make an impact here is tough. I missed a few weeks with a concussion my first year and had some broken hands, but I've never been out this long." Zipay adds that Dorsett is a cross between Brandon Prust and Sean Avery, with a reputation for never taking a shift off. Dorsett is signed till 2015 at $1.5 million per and set career-highs in goals with 12. ...a cross between Avery & Prust? I love this guy already. If he can come even close to that comparison, I think we'll be seeing a ton of Dorsett jerseys walking around MSG real soon. ...not sure what Torts' plan is with Dorsett, but he could give this team a huge boost in the final few games and then in the playoffs. While the Rangers have been playing with more emotion and intensity since the trade I think Dorsett could take that to another level with his physicality and aggressiveness which is still missing. Can't be worse than Asham. Remember to follow me on Twitter & Facebook or e-mail me at nyrfan94@yahoo.com.
