We are going to see what some teams are made of today and tonight.  Vancouver will not likely have Daniel Sedin until Game 5 at the earliest.  That is a huge fantasy impact for anyone who owns both "Sedin Twins".  That is just a fact of life.  We are doing the very quick edition today because of that early start time.  Let's get moving and reveal the Fantasy POTN.

============================================

FANTASY POTN:

Braden Holtby, G, Washington Capitals

The guy was in beast mode yesterday with 43 saves to defeat the defending champs 2-1 in double overtime.  Holtby has stopped all but two shots in this series (71 saves).  Personally I like how Holtby has not sat back in his crease and his movement has been very crisp.  If you are a Capitals fan, you have to ride the youngster at this point as Vokoun or Neuvirth may not be 100%.  The playoffs are fickle and fantasy finds are like strange bedfellows.  If you mnaged to pick Holtby up, then might well keep going with what works right?  Exactly.  That is why he was our Fantasy POTN.

===========================================

QUICK LOOK BACK:

Brian Elliott, G, St. Louis Blues

The injury to Jaroslav Halak may be ultimately what saves St. Louis as it just seems that the Blues play a little more loose with Elliott in net.  The numbers do not lie  The goal support is higher and Elliott's numbers are better by Halak's by enough of a margin where particulars and minor details can be thrown out.  Halak made 12 saves and Elliott made the rest in the 3-0 shutout last night over San Jose.  Halak's availability for Game 3 is questionable at press time but I can tell you that Elliott is the likely starter.  Adjust just in case Hitchock flops on this one.

SCHEDULE TIME:

Sunday, April 15, 2012 TeamsNotes Nashville at Detroit 12:00 PM | Gameday Pittsburgh at Philadelphia 3:00 PM | Gameday New Jersey at Florida 7:30 PM | Gameday Vancouver at Los Angeles 10:30 PM | Gameday

We have a nice four game staggered schedule on a Sunday which is perfect to watch and follow your fantasy hockey teams with.  As crazy as it sounds, watch all four road teams win.  It would not surprise me if three of the four win as all of them have a solid chance to win.  Home teams so far are 5-10 in the first round of the playoffs.

===========================================

OUR POTENTIAL FANTASY POTN:

Evgeni Malkin, C, Pittsburgh Penguins

If it is Sunday and it is a fantasy league, Malkin just seems like your guy.  With a propensity to produce on the weekend, he is just one of those players that comes up clutch.  The Penguins are also down 2-0 and need a win so #71 would be the most likely suspect to break out despite what the Flyers may throw at him.  There is something today that tells me Pittsburgh will find a way and fantasy wise Malkin was the best all year.  He does not stay down in Game 3 ladies and gentlemen.

===========================================

Good luck everyone today and we will be providing updates and the show of course tonight at 8pm ET on BTR's Fantasy Sports Channel.
