The Boston Bruins have put together a pretty solid record this season despite their inability to put together a full sixty minutes consistently. With third period meltdowns sprinkled throughout an otherwise excellent start to their lockout shortened 2012/13 NHL season; it is clear the Bruins still have a few holes in their game. The loss of veteran third line center Chris Kelly only adds to the Bruins’ forward depth needs heading into the playoffs and into the April 3rd trade deadline.
Here a few names I believe the B’s will kick the tires on. Some might be considered pipe dreams given the return they will command, while others would be reasonable fixes.
Calgary Flames right wing #12 Jarome Iginla
Jarome Iginla, RW, Calgary Flames: Iginla has been linked to the Bruins, and just about every other team, for the better part of the last five seasons. The Flames have tried and failed numerous times to get the necessary assets together to build around the big winger and compe...

David Krejci added a goal and two assists, Rich Peverley had a power-play goal and Andrew Ference scored his first of the season on the eve of his 34th birthday for the Bruins, who avenged a frustrating...
BOSTON — Sometimes in sports, a celebration tells you more than just a bunch of grown men are happy to do have done their jobs. In some cases, it gives you an inside look as to how much pressure those same grown men can be under to do their job.
You could certainly sense that on Saturday afternoon at TD Garden when Bruins forwards Nathan Horton and Milan Lucic teamed up for a thunderous...

Thereâs no way for the Boston Bruins to exact revenge on the Washington Capitals for bouncing them out of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs in overtime of Game 7 last spring, but Anton Khudobin the Black-and-Gold took to the Garden ice with the chance to continue the misery thatâs plagued Adam Oates and company in his first year behind the bench.
Sitting in relatively unfamiliar...
8 a.m. ET: The Bruins exorcised the demons of one third-period meltdown on Saturday, and they’ll get the chance to do the same on Sunday.
The Bruins are back in Pittsburgh for a matinee tilt with the Penguins, less than a week after blowing a two-goal lead in the third period en route to losing 3-2 on Tuesday night. It won’t be easy, though, as just like Tuesday night, the Bruins...
Behind goals from Nathan Horton, David Krejci, Andrew Ference and Rich Peverley the Bruins man handled the Washington Capitals. Backup Anton Khudobin recorded 32 saves on 33 shots, with the only goal coming on a David Krejci own goal off the skates of a Bruins defensemen.
The Bruins came out to a 2-0 lead off a Nathan Horton slapper, and a David Krejci wrister.

Its the eve of St. Patricks day and the Bruins are about to play the Washington Capitals. The Caps beat the Bruins the last time the teams faced off. They also beat the Bruins in game 7 of last years playoffs.
Bad blood has began to boil, at least on the Bruins. The Bruins had a 3-0 lead agianst the Capitals the last time they played and then the Bruins blew the lead. The Capitals...

The Toronto Sun's Mike Zeisberger spends most of his Saturday night notebook discussing a possible Penguins-Flames trade for Jarome Iginla and the league's super-tight standings (48 games instead of 82 have something to do with that) clogging up the trade rumor hotlines, but his conversation with NHL senior VP of hockey operations Mike Murphy is the gem of the column:
The Kings aren't trading Jonathan Bernier for Jarome Iginla. It doesn't make any sense. Period. Jonathan Quick's save percentage has been about as awful as "Bert Wonderstone" reviews and going into the playoffs, it may just be Bernier that supplants Quick unless he can get his sugar honey iced tea together and fast. So then, is it Tyler Toffoli? Why would...
Hearing that tonight's Stars-Flames games in Dallas will be "scout central", with an exceptionally widespread plethora of Eastern and Western Conference pro scouts in attendance at a game featuring two clubs on the brink of going into seller mode.
Calgary's trade targets, of course, are led by Jarome Iginla and Jay Bouwmeester. The Stars, who have been struggling...
