NESN.com staff will pick the two or three best Amica Coverage Plays of the previous week for games played from Friday night to Thursday night. Voting will begin every Friday morning and conclude on Monday.  I’ts hard to win a game when you give the puck away 16 times. Philadelphia Flyers winger Scott Hartnell took advantage of a miscue by Boston’s defense and was able to convert the play to a goal. After a solid check on the boards, Hartnell keeps the play alive in front of the Flyers’ net. Then the Bruins attempt to clear the puck out up the center of the ice, but Hartnell corrals the puck and takes an open shot on Tuukka Rask, putting the Flyers up 1-0 early in the game. Check out the breakdown of the play in the video above.

Jaromir Jagr Fans in Philadelphia Sport Mullets, Jerseys From Entire Career (Photo)

Jaromir Jagr has been around the NHL for 19 seasons now, and over that time he’s become a pretty popular figure in the game. But more than that, Jagr’s gotten attention for not only his hockey skills and demeanor, but that sweet mullet from earlier in his career, too. On Tuesday the Bruins were down in Philadelphia, and it seems the hockey faithful in Pennsylvania still appreciate...

Flyers 5, Bruins 2

The Bruins are second in the Eastern Conference and lead the division. But the Bruins and Montreal...

The Bruins look like they’re in trouble right now, and Boston head coach Claude Julien looks to be giving one last-ditch effort to fire up his struggling club. The B’s lost 5-2 Tuesday night in Philadelphia in an ugly showing in which the club was sloppy in just about every facet of the game. The Bruins should have been able to take advantage of a Flyers team that had little...

Bruins Struggles Continue in Philly

As has become a strange trend over the course of the last week, the Bruins were treated to yet another heartwarming tribute to the victims and armed forces in light of the Boston Marathon bombings last week, and then went out and essentially laid an egg on the ice of the Wells Fargo Center.  With playoff hockey looming, the Boston Bruins have been on a slow nosedive in the wrong...
