All-Star Scott Hartnell tallied twice - with the latter coming 4:59 into overtime - as the Philadelphia Flyers overcame a two-goal deficit to snap visiting Pittsburgh's season-high 11-game winning streak with a 3-2 victory. Defenseman Kimmo Timonen netted a power-play goal and fellow All-Star Claude Giroux notched a pair of assists for the Flyers, who improved to 8-1-1 in their last 10 games and moved to within two points of the Penguins and three of the first-place New York Rangers. Ilya Bryzgalov turned aside 38 shots to give Philadelphia its third win in four meetings against Pittsburgh. All-Star Evgeni Malkin netted his 41st goal, Craig Adams also tallied and defenseman Kris Letang notched a pair of assists for the Penguins, who failed to protect a third-period lead for the first time in 28 opportunities (25-1-2).
