LOS ANGELES -- The Coyotes have been living on the edge all during this postseason while managing to emerge unscathed. But in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals, they left Jobing.com Arena trailing in a series for the first time and sporting a fat lip after being hit in the mouth by the big, bad and rolling Los Angeles Kings. The Coyotes didn't play well against Chicago or Nashville in Game 1, but won in overtime and were able to build on a bad night without paying a price. This time they weren't as lucky, as the Kings unleashed 90 shots, 48 of which were on net, and dominated in a 4-2 win that wasn't that close. "We leave this game just like we did against Game 1 after Nashville," Phoenix coach Dave Tippett said. "We know there's some adjustments we have to make. We know there's some parts of our game that have to be much better. The only difference is we didn't get the fortunate outcome we did against Nashville (a 4-3 win on Ray Whitney's overtime goal).
