Found December 17, 2011 on Kukla's Korner:
DET (19-10-1) have a league best home record of 12-2-1, and are riding a 9 game home win streak.  The Kings (14-13-4), own the leagues worst offense, managing just 2.13 goals/game.  Things don’t look to improve for the Kings scoring woes tonight at JLA; as DET has been obliterating the competition during their home win streak by a combined 43 goals/for while allowing 13 goals/against.  DET have averaged an NHL-best 3.85 goals since Nov. 18, the Kings are worst in the league in that span at 1.58 per game. LAK have scored a league-low 66 goals this season, including two or fewer in 10 consecutive contests. The Kings were at risk of a season-high sixth consecutive loss Thursday, trailing league-worst Columbus in the third, but scored twice in a 3:39 span of the period to win 2-1. Bullet Bob put on one helluva a rock show Thursday night - much better than watching DET give up two goals in the last five minutes at NSH. LGRW. Red Wings-Predators wrap-up and overnight report: a paradoxical loss, right next to itself

The Detroit Red Wings’ 4-3 loss to the Nashville Predators on Thursday night offers something of a sports paradox: while the Red Wings played smart hockey, controling the puck and the pace of play for extended periods of time, and while the Wings spent most of the night in the Predators’ zone, firing 40 shots at Pekka Rinne, they didn’t play efficient hockey. A team embarking...
