ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Joey Prusak's act of kindness during his shift at a suburban Minnesota Dairy Queen has gathered attention nationwide. Not far from Prusak's hometown, the Minnesota Wild also took note.
On Saturday, Prusak will attend the Wild's preseason game against Winnipeg as a special guest of team owner Craig Leopold. Prusak will be in a suite, along with 20 friends and family. The reason? The team wanted to reward Prusak for his kindness after what took place earlier this month.
Prusak, a 19-year-old from Hopkins, Minn., was working at a Dairy Queen when a blind customer dropped a 20 bill on the ground without noticing. Before Prusak could inform the man, another customer picked up the bill and put it in her purse. Prusak, the store's manager, confronted the woman, who claimed the money was hers. He told the woman she could either return the money that she stole or leave the store. She chose the latter when Prusak stood tall and refused to serve her because of her dishonesty.
Another customer noticed what happened and wrote a letter to Dairy Queen. The note, which praised Prusak's actions, eventually made its way to the Hopkins branch -- and later onto the Internet, where it went viral. Prusak reportedly received a call from billionaire Warren Buffett, and that particular Dairy Queen store has seen an increase of customers since Prusak's actions became known.
Saturday, those actions will be rewarded when Prusak and friends enjoy watching Zach Parise, Ryan Suter and the rest of the Minnesota Wild take the ice at Xcel Energy Center. Not a bad perk of simply doing his job.

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Zach Parise admittedly would have rather been on the ice than watching from a distance when his Minnesota Wild played their first preseason game Tuesday against Columbus. He also didn't travel to Winnipeg for Thursday's preseason game and said he didn't tune into the game on the radio, only catching highlights afterward.
Saturday against Winnipeg,...
Mike Yeo said Thursday morning that the Wild won’t be “rushing to any conclusions” when it comes to the decision-making for the handful of open spots in training camp.
Well it’s a good thing there are still 13 days until opening night because the “kids” are making it awfully hard for the Wild brass.

A few days ago the Wild ventured to the hostile confines of MTS Center with their "JV-squad" of 2nd and 4th liners along with a cadre of NHL hopefuls going up against Winnipeg's "Varsity squad". Recipe for disaster right? Wrong, the Wild's JV team more than held its own as it peppered the Jets' Al Montoya with shots as they rolled to a 4-1 victory...
Quickly. Someone should call the Erie County Sheriff's Department and demand that a squad car be sent to First Niagara Center. Sabres GM Darcy Regier should be arrested for performing Grand Larssony on Chuck Fltecher, the GM of the Minnesota Wild.
