For this week, we’ll share three forwards, two defensemen and a goaltender you could pick up to give your team a boost. Availability is based on ESPN leagues.
Michael Grabner of the Islanders (LW/RW; 51%) could be a nice fit on your team. He’s getting twenty minutes of ice time per night and posted points in is first three games of the season. The Isles take on Pittsburgh and have a home-and-home with the Devils this week.
Ottawa’s Kyle Turris (C, RW; 56%) has quietly picked up four goals already this season. Perhaps this is the year he puts it all together after many years of waiting. Turris and the Senators take on Washington, Carolina and Montreal (twice) this week.
Alexander Steen of the Blues (LW; 35%) has yet to score this season but can give your team a boost. Steen has four assists this season and 15 shots on goal. The appeal of Steen is that he’s on the line with Vladimir Tarasenko. He’s playing on a third line and is still seeing time on the power play. It’s just ...

Finally! The news I've been waiting for!
Thomas Hickey will skate for the Islanders tonight in Winnepeg against the Jets as he replaced Finley. Eric Boulton will sub for Casey Cizikas and Nabokov will be in goal.
When asked why he chose Hickey over Martinek, he said he knows what Radek can do, but he needs to see Hickey in game situations. Good move Jack!
Matt Moulson scored a goal and assisted on another, Evgeni Nabokov stopped 37 shots and the New York Islanders dominated the listless Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 on Tuesday night.
John Tavares scored for the second straight game for New York while Michael Grabner collected his fourth goal of the season and Casey Cizikas found the net for the first time in his career.
It was more than...

If you're reading this post, you have already shown more interest in the Islanders than both Evgeni Nabokov and Lubomir Visnovsky. Hopefully the Pens care more about this game. Otherwise we...
Travis Hamonic says heâs fit to play. Weâll see. Iâd still prefer to see him sit out a day than take the chance of injuring himself further.
The Isles have a limited number of tickets available for Sundayâs 3 pm game against the NJ Devils for only $25 a seat.
Jesse D. Eisenberg has deemed the official Islander pre-game ritual will now be the Shamrock Shake...
According to Art Staple, Travis Hamonic left Winnepeg yesterday in a walking boot with a sprained ankle. Uh oh. It is doubtful he will play tomorrow in Pittsburgh against the Penguins.
Rumor has it, okay, confirmed sources have it, that Lubomir Visnovsky will report to the Islanders no later than February 11th. As the Isles have a home game that night, will he be in the line...
Michael St. Croix (Edmonton Oil Kings)
There are times when things don't match the advertising as Michael St. Croix (NYR 2011 4th) and Griffin Reinhart's (NYI 2012 1st) Edmonton Oil Kings were hosting the Lethbridge Hurricanes in what was billed as:
Family Fun SUN Day presented by Mott's Fruitsations and the Edmonton SUN. This game will feature a family friendly 4:00...
