Lundqvist
New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist stars in the latest ESPN "This is SportsCenter" commercial. In the ad, Lundqvist is the only person on the Bristol campus that can understand the recently hired "world renowned" chef in the cafeteria. That's because that chef happens to be the Swedish Chef from the Muppets, and Lundqvist is from Sweden. Lundqvist also made a surprise appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last week, but now that the NHL lockout is over, he can finally get back to hockey. Video via ESPN. H/T Sportress. Hilarious new ‘This is SportsCenter’ commercial starring Henrik Lundqvist and a Muppet

I love when NHLers get to star in “This is SportsCenter” commercials, in my opinion it doesn’t happen enough.  The commercials themselves are absolutely classic, and it’s always good to see a fresh face get a shot at starring in the commercial.  Pairing Henrik Lundqvist with Swedish Chef is absolutely outstanding and the mastermind behind this should be commended.  My...

Henrik Lundqvist Makes ESPN Commercial With Swedish Chef, Loses To Boston Bruins

ESPN After a 100-and-some-day lockout, the NHL returned on Saturday, featuring the Kings hoisting a Stanley Cup banner in Los Angeles, the Flyers losing to the Penguins in Philadelphia, and the New York Rangers opening up the season in Boston against the Bruins. Rangers’ goalie Henrik Lundqvist was not his usual Swedish self, allowing three goals in a 3-1 loss to the Bruins. Perhaps...

Henrick Lundqvist Understands The Muppets’ Swedish Chef – ‘This Is SportsCenter’

As with every single one of their “This Is SportsCenter” commercials, you will finish watching ESPN’s latest ad and crack a smile. Video: Henrik Lundqvist and The Muppet's Swedish Chef star in ESPN ad

Henrik Lundqvist might have just found his new best friend around the ESPN offices. Unfortunately, only fellow Swede Henrik Lundqvist can understand what he's saying...which is rather impressive. [follow]

One game a season does not make

My hair so sexy. Well, the Rangers lost last night. Not only did they lose, but they looked awful in the process. They were rusty, sluggish, sloppy, and looked like they needed another week of training camp. They took bad penalties, and missed defensive zone coverages more often than I can count. The only good thing is that Henrik Lundqvist looked to be in midseason form. But around...
