Pro Sports Daily:
New York Islanders 2010 first-round pick Nino Niederreiter will make his season debut in Tuesday's game against the rival New York Rangers.
The 19-year-old right wing recently joined the club following a two-week conditioning stint in the AHL. He had suffered a groin injury during training camp.
Niederreiter, the fifth overall pick in 2010, had a goal and an assist in nine games with the Islanders last season.
The Islanders have sputtered, going 1-6-3 in their last 10 games.
