Tobias Enstrom is out indefinitely with a broken collarbone, Ken Wiebe of The Winnipeg Sun reports. The injury came in Monday's game against the Florida Panthers when Enstrom was taken down by a hit from Florida Panthers forward Jack Skille. In my view, Tobias Enstrom's skills were under-appreciated with the Atlanta Thrasher organization. This is a player who is a prime...
WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) -- The Winnipeg Jets have placed goaltender Chris Mason on the injured reserve list Thursday and recalled defensemen Brett Festerling and Mark Flood from St. John's of the AHL.
In a 3-0 loss to the Winnipeg Jets last night, the Islanders managed 34 shots on goal, but failed to get one past goalie Ondrej Pavelec. I give full credit to a stellar performance by Pavelec, but eventually the Islanders need to put the puck in the net. Having 34 shots on goal is certainly an improvement over the lackluster performances over the last few games, but in order...
The Winnipeg Jets are at the halfway point of their seven game road trip, the longest for the entire inaugural season for version 2.0 of the team. Regardless of whether it is road weariness or early fatigue, the Jets are without some bodies now as injuries mount. The latest casualty is Tobias Enstrom who has returned to Winnipeg after taking a hard hit From Jack Skille of the Panthers...
The Winnipeg Jets flew back up the eastern seaboard after a shoot out win against the Panthers. Like the previous three wins for the Jets the match against the Panthers saw Winnipeg once again nearly snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Another lead, followed by another collapse, only to rally back and win it in the NHLâs version of the All Star weekend training program...
Evander Kane was sky high when he learned how pumped fans were to have the Jets back in Canada. On a commercial flight over the summer to Winnipeg, Kane was recognized as one of the stars of the reborn franchise and became more popular among his fellow passengers than the free peanuts. Once he landed, about a dozen Jets fans waited outside his gate to greet him.
Ondrej Pavelec stopped all 34 shots he faced, and Evander Kane provided all the offense the Winnipeg Jets needed in a 3-0 victory over the New York Islanders on Thursday night.
It’s a chilly, windy morning here in Winnipeg today, but Jets fans here are positively glowing and giddy after last night’s 3-0 victory over the New York Islanders in front of, well, a crowd. Or at least two-thirds of one. After seeing the masses packed into the MTS Centre for Jets home games, it’s still a bit of a shock to see so many empty seats (although it’s not shocking...

Evander Kane scored on the game’s first shot and the Winnipeg Jets, behind superb goaltending from Onrdej Pavelec made it stand up, as the Jets added two late goals (one into an empty net) for a 3-0 victory ov...

There have definitely been too many days between games this week, but tonight the Winnepeg Jets come to town and truthfully the Isles haven't fared well against the club they were.
The Isles have dropped five in a row but managed two consolation points. They need a win. They need a win NOW. The slide had to stop before it becomes a trip to a dark abyss.
The Jets goalie...
