Veteran netminder Miikka Kiprusoff will attempt to become the Calgary Flames' all-time leader in regular-season wins when he visits the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday.
The 34-year-old Finn did not play in the team's last game - a 5-2 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Monday. Kiprusoff is gunning for his 263rd victory, which would move him past Mike Vernon for the team honor.
Kiprusoff has posted a 7-3-0 career mark with a 2.58 goals-against average versus the Canadiens. He has recorded victories in four of his last five matches.
Winless Calgary (0-2-0) is searching for its first victory of the season against Montreal (1-1-0).
