Chris Kreider day to day with bone chip in ankle — New York Rangers (@NYRangers) January 26, 2013 Earlier in the month Kreider took a shot off the foot in a game with the Whale, but reports were that he was ok. ...i guess we know why Kreider's been struggling. I know this may sound strange, but I'm actually glad his struggles are injury related rather than he's regressed. ...i remember getting a few tweets that Kreider was seen wearing a boot after the game in which he blocked that shot, so I guess it was worse than originally reported. With the Kreider injury along with a healthy Arron Asham and a recently recalled Glenn Ferriero, Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record says tonight's line-up will look like this... Rick Nash-Brad Richards-Marian Gaborik Taylor Pyatt-Derek Stepan-Ryan Callahan Carl Hagelin-Brian Boyle-Mike Rupp Benn Ferriero-Jeff Halpern-Arron Asham Ryan McDonagh-Dan Girardi Marc Staal-Michael Del Zotto Steve Eminger-Anton Stralman ...guess this means Bickel is headed to the press box. Which is warranted. Plenty of toughness still in the line-up to offset Colton Orr tonight. Henrik Lundqvist will get his fifth straight start to open the season tonight. ...was completely expecting Biron in there tonight, but with the Rangers struggling out of the gates Torts is going to lean on his Vezina winning goaltender.
