The Lightning announced today they have acquired forward Dan Sexton from the Anaheim Ducks for forward Kyle Wilson. They Later recalled defenseman Radko Gudas from Syracuse. Here is information on both Sexton and Gudas from the team’s media release: Sexton, 25, has skated in 27 games this season with the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League, registering five goals and 16 points to go along with six penalty minutes. Of his five goals, two of them have been scored on the power play. The 5-foot-9, 180-pound forward has recorded eight points (two goals, six assists) over his past seven games with the Admirals. He has appeared in 128 career AHL games with the Admirals, Manitoba Moose and Syracuse Crunch, notching 32 goals and 88 points, including five shorthanded tallies. The Apple Valley, Minnesota native has skated in 88 career NHL games with the Ducks, recording 13 goals and 32 points during two seasons. Sexton set career highs in goals (nine), assists (10) and points (19) during the 2009-10 season and set his career high in games played in 2010-11 with 47. Sexton skated two seasons at Bowling Green University, recording 24 goals and 60 points from 2007-2009. He led all Bowling Green skaters in his second season with 39 points (17 goals, 22 assists) in 38 games. Sexton’s 17 goals more than doubled his output from his first season when he scored seven times. Gudas, 22, has skated in 57 games this season with the Crunch, notching four goals and 20 points. Gudas is tied for second among Crunch defensemen for goals, assists and points. Gudas leads the AHL with a plus/minus rating of plus-32. Gudas has also compiled a team-best and the fourth-most penalty minutes in the AHL with 207. Gudas’ 136 shots on goal rank fifth among Crunch skaters. The Prague, Czech Republic, native was originally drafted by the Lightning in the third round, 66th overall, of the 2010 NHL Draft. Gudas has played in 228 career AHL games with the Norfolk Admirals and the Crunch, registering 15 goals, 57 points and 567 penalty minutes.
