You had to figure that something like this would happen eventually.  A player would be tired and desperate to get off the ice and they would jump into the commentators box.  On Sunday during the Philadelphia Flyers-Pittsburgh Penguins game, that is exactly what happened.  Flyers defenseman Luke Schenn was trying to get a change and he hopped into the commentators box with Pierre McGuire.  Schenn was clearly embarrassed afterwards and his teammates will probably never let him forget this.  Unfortunately for Schenn, things only got worse as the Flyers blew a 1-0 lead late in the third period and ended up losing in overtime to their rival. Penguins Trades: Renting Iginla Akin to Buying the Cup

I hate the Yankees. They and their talent acquisition model represent everything wrong with America today. I hate the concept of buying talent with no regard for team chemistry in order to try to get whatever trophy awaits you and your overpayed superteam. If the Penguins rent Jerome Iginla and end up going the distance, it will turn that sweet sip from Lord Stanley’s cup more...

If The Penguins Weren't Good Before, They Are Now

Report: Penguins Still Pursuing Jarome Iginla, Despite Recent Trades

One might think that having one of the best offenses in hockey and acquiring Brenden Morrow from the Stars might be enough for Pittsburgh Penguins general manager Ray Shero to be satisfied with his team’s forwards mix. Apparently, that’s not necessarily the case. According to ESPN.com, the Penguins are still among the teams interested in Flames forward Jarome Iginla. There...

As if the Pittsburgh Penguins weren't stacked on offense enough as is, they just made their lineup a bit more intimidating by acquiring Brenden Morrow from the Dallas Stars, as first reported by Darren Dreger. Peter Chiarelli Not Reacting to Penguins’ Moves, But Says Bruins Plan on Improving

The Stanley Cup isn’t won at the trade deadline, but if it was, the Pittsburgh Penguins would be having their names carved into the trophy right now. It isn’t, of course, but that doesn’t mean the Penguins haven’t done a lot to improve their chances of hoisting the Cup come June. Pittsburgh general manager Ray Shero remains one of the best in the game, and he proved that...

What Will The Going Rate Be For A Good Player?

from Jason Botchford of the Vancouver Province, Vancouver GM Mike Gillis better wake up.
