Mark Recchi retired from hockey last June following the Bruins' memorable Stanley Cup title run. However, even though he's no longer playing in the NHL, Recchi continues to find himself just as busy. He did, however, find some time to stop by the NESN studios to chat it up with Randy Scott about what he's been doing since he called it a career. Recchi is "on the road" so to speak in an effort to promote the new Bruins' book, Full 60 to History, but he's also doing his best to keep up with his old teammates and their season....

Patrice Bergeron, Bruins Go Toy Shopping, Purchase Gifts for Children Unable to Celebrate Holidays at Home

Patrice Bergeron, Tim Thomas and the rest of the Bruins did a little shopping on Monday in an effort to spread some holiday cheer. The entire B's roster took a trip to Target in Woburn as part of the team's annual Holiday Toy Shopping event presented by AT&T. The players bought toys to be given as gifts to children who are unable to spend the holidays at home. Each players...

Chara Says He Feels Pretty Good

via the BostonHerald, Bruins D-man Zdeno Chara is feeling better than expected, and may not be sidelined long with the suspected left knee sprain he suffered Saturday. “Good, good, better than I expected,” said Chara, who disputed the idea that he will definitely miss one week. “The plan is to take it a day at a time. You can’t really put a time frame on...

Thomas and Paille Shine as B’s win in Ottawa

Tim Thomas once again silenced any critics tonight. After being pulled following the second period of a game in Columbus on Saturday night, and sitting out the following game in Boston in favor of Tuukka Rask, Thomas made 47 saves tonight to lead the Bruins to a tie in points atop the Eastern Conference with the Flyers. The two teams got off to a slow start, but a great bout between...

Ty Anderson: Bruins extend Kings' misery behind Rask's 41-save effort

Los Angeles may have fired Terry Murray, plugging former Flyers coach and then-Kings assistant coach John Stevens into the 'interim' role, but the cure to their woes is still very much unknown. Squaring off against an injury depleted Bruins squad -- anchored by the loss of captain Zdeno Chara and fourth-line center Gregory Campbell -- not even a trip to a building that the...

Tuukka Rask May Encourage Tim Thomas to 'Watch the Throne' After Shutout Performance Against Kings

Is there a little bit of a goalie controversy brewing for the Bruins? After Tuukka Rask's performance against the Los Angeles Kings, it's not a bad problem to have. Tim Thomas reigns over the league as the best goalie, but Rask's strong play of late is something that Bruins fans shouldn't ignore. NESN Nation's Dan Duquette is awarding Rask our "Watch the...

Bruins Using Fights Instead of Coffee to Keep Workplace Productivity Up

If your coworkers are having a difficult time getting their day started, you might recommend that they grab a cup of coffee for a quick boost. If your workplace is a hockey rink, however, you might recommend that your coworkers wait until someone gets punched in the face to start their day right. Milan Lucic exchanged a couple of haymakers with Senators defenseman Matt Carkner and...

Bruins scratch out two points

The Bruins got a goal in all three periods and 41 saves from Tuukka Rask to down struggling Los Angeles Kings, 3-0 at the Garden tonight. Brad Marchand scored a pair of goals, both of which came shortly after Patrice Bergeron faceoff wins. ...

Hamill adjusts well after call up, B’s depth begins to show

By now it’s common knowledge that Gregory Campbell will miss an extended period of time due to a fracture in his foot that was suffered when he blocked a shot in a 5-3 win against the Blue Jackets on Saturday. The Bruins will certainly miss their fourth line centerman while he’s absent, but given the performance of Zach  Hamill last night, they may not miss him as much...

Brad Marchand scored twice and Tuukka Rask earned his first shutout of the season, leading the Boston Bruins to a 3-0 victory over Los Angeles on Tuesday night in the Kings' first game under interim coach John Stevens.
