Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mikhail Grabovski has been named NHL’s first star of the week. This week was a shorten week because of the NHL All-Star game.
During this week Grabovski recorded one goal and four assist in Toronto’s back to back wins over the New York Islanders.
Grabovski is the only player from the, Kulemin, Grabovski, MacArthur line, who is on pace to reach his regular season point total from last season.
The second star went to Nashville Predator’s goalie Pekka Rinne. Rinne registered back to back wins over the Chicago Blackhawks and Columbus Blue Jackets. Rinne has been on a monstrous run in the month of January winning 10 of 11 games.
Third star honors were awarded to Ottawa Seneator Daniel Alfredsson. The 39 year old captain scored two goals in two games this past week, before he stared in this year’s All-Star weekend in Ottawa.
