Toronto Maple Leafs forward and soon to be unrestricted free agent, Mikhail Grabovski has certainly dealt with his share of trials and tribulations this season.
Going back to the start of the season, Grabovski started out the year with only one point in the first five games. Though that was nothing compared to Grabovski 6 game pointless drought in November where he had a plus minus of -6. Then there was Grabovski’s lower back injury that kept him out for two weeks in November.
Though with that far behind him, it has been speculated that Grabovski could be on Brian Burke’s trading block because of Grabovski contact expiring. Grabovski could be due for a raise that could get him around 5 million annually.
“I think (trade speculation) bothers you guys (media) more than me. I think more about each game than my future,” Grabovski said Monday after practice at the MasterCard Centre. “I know, if I play well, I can stay with the same team.”
