Washington Capitals’ Joel Rechlicz is known for being an AHL fighter, and will likely start the season there. But before his preseason time in the NHL is done, Rechlicz made quite the statement when he got into a tussle with Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic. Lucic is 6’3” 205 lbs and Rechlicz is 6’4” 212 lbs and this was probably the best fight you will see all year. Rechlicz is a lefty and these two just kept throwing haymakers like Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots. This was an absolute incredible fight. [Hockey Fights]

Ovechkin’s greatest assist wasn’t even on tv

Yes Caps fans, the headline says it all! The Capitals squared off in an exhibition game with the Nashville Predators on Wednesday night and almost everybody, minus the fans at Verizon Center and the one’s who were listening to the game on various outlets, missed it. But what the fans at Verizon Center saw that even the radio listeners couldn’t (obviously right?) was the beautiful...

I heard about this one on Twitter before I saw it, and even before I was able to see the video, I'd figured that this wouldn't yield a suspension. But Grabovski got back up and played on the...

Boston Bruins’ Milan Lucic and Claude Julien Comment on NHL’s New Fighting Rule

In an attempt to make the game safer, the NHL enacted a new rule in the offseason that prohibits players from removing their helmets before engaging in a fight. If a player breaks this rule, he’s given an additional two-minute penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct. After the first few weeks of preseason games, it’s clear that the players haven’t adjusted to the new rule change...

Cam Neely to appear in Dumb and Dumber sequel, maybe alongside Milan Lucic

"Dumb and Dumber" is remembered fondly for a number of reasons. The Mutt Cuts car; the most annoying sound in the world; the fact that it came out during Jim Carrey's heyday in the mid-90s before he got kind of lame. And now that Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey are filming the long-awaited actual Dumb and Dumber sequel as we speak the first question on the minds of hockey...

Enough Fighting

from Dave Lozo of The Score, I’m like everyone else with human DNA – I absolutely love watching two other humans beat the life out of each other. It’s in all of us to an extent. Those UFC knockout highlight shows are incredible. A roundhouse kick to the jaw of a guy who is out cold on his feet? Brilliant. Milan Lucic and Joel Rechlicz punching each other for a full 60...
