Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record reports that Marton Biron was the first goaltender off the ice this morning meaning he will likely start tonight's game against the Blackhawks....Lundqvist has seen a lot of rubber lately, so this is a great chance to get him some rest against a struggling Blackhawks team. Gross adds that Ruslan Fedotenko was working with the training staff today and is out for tonight as are the recently recalled Wojtek Wolski and Jeff Woywitka who stayed on the ice late this morning. This obviously means Stu Bickel is back at forward. ...thought this might be a good spot to get Wolski in the next two games against Western Conference teams (Columbus on Sunday) for no other reason than to showcase the enigmatic winger. Finally, Steve Zipay at Newsday says the Rangers will wear their Heritage jerseys tonight and will for future games against Original Six teams....big fan of Heritage jersey.Remember to follow me on Twitter & Facebook or e-mail me at ...

Wolksi, Woywitka recalled from conditioning stints

Per the AHL transaction page, both Wojtek Wolski and Jeff Woywitka have been recalled following their two-week conditioning stints. Both guys got into six games with the Whale, with Wolski scoring three goals. He should step right back into the lineup tomorrow with Ruslan Fedotenko banged up, but Woywitka will probably have to sit on the sidelines a little longer. With any luck,...

Ruslan Fedotenko Not Skating in Practice

It was decided just prior to gametime yesterday in Boston that forward Ruslan Fedotenko would miss his third consecutive game after taking a high hit to the head last week against the Lightning. However, during the team's morning skate earlier on Tuesday, Fedotenko was in attendance and said that he was feeling better. This hinted that he was close to returning to the lineup...

Lundqvist Dominates Bruins in 3-0 Shutout Win

There should no reason to be surprised anymore when it comes to New York Rangers’ goaltender Henrik Lundqvist. Last night, the “King” made 42 saves in a 3-0 shutout victory over the Boston Bruins. It was Lundqvist’s seventh shutout of the league, which puts him first in the league. Lundqvist’s statistics are simply terrific when it comes to NHL netminders. The soon to...

Calls Go Against Rangers

I hate to make excuses because the Rangers didn't deserve to win last night after an atrocious start and going 0-for-7 on the power play, but the refs didn't make life easy for the Rangers.First, similar to the bogus Winter Classic closing the hand on the puck penalty, last night's call on Dan Girardi in the first period was just as egregious. At no point does he close...

Henrik Lundqvist is a three-time finalist for the Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s top goalie. There were no questions or prodding necessary coming into this season to determine whether he was elite.
