During his post practice press conference today John Tortorella reported that Brian Boyle did not make the trip to Ottawa...

...not a surprise. Never a good idea to put a guy with a concussion on an airplane. Just ask the Mets.

Steve Zipay at Newsday has this quote from Ryan Callahan this morning...

"We've got to win this game. We don't want this season to end. If we play desperate hockey, we'll be okay."

...wish they would have played desperate hockey Saturday night.

Meanwhile, Pat Leonard at the Daily News reports that Steve Eminger stayed on the ice late after practice making it likely that he is not playing.

In an injury update, Jim Cerny notes that Mats Zuccarello is out of his cast. He broke his wrist on March 23 blocking a shot against the Sabres.

...if the Rangers can somehow get themselves into the second round Zucc maybe a possibility for them. Could use him big time on the power play.

Finally, Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record reports that Swedish Elite League MVP Jakob Silfverberg may make NHL debut for the Senators tonight. Canadian junior star Mark Stone debuted for Ottawa Saturday night and picked up the primary assist on Jason Spezza's game winner.

...unlike Tortorella, assuming MacLead will actually use his young talented call-up if he's in the line-up.
