This was absolutely bizarre. When I first saw it I thought I was just seeing things, but Ottawa Senators Head Coach Paul MacLean definitely had his doppleganger in attendance at their game against Florida on Monday night. Seriously, it looks like some bizarre reflection, but it’s actually some random guy that could 100% be his clone/twin. I hope someone finds out where this guy came from.
Ottawa Senators head coach Paul MacLean was so focused on the game that he may have had no idea that a lookalike fan was sitting in the front row seat right behind the Senators bench.
SportsNet cameras perfectly captured MacLean with an impersonator sitting right behind him, and viewers and broadcasters got a good chuckle out of it. However, apparently a Senators team executive...
On Monday night, the Ottawa Senators hosted the Florida Panthers at Scotiabank Place and while it is a welcome scene simply to have NHL games being played again, something that was going on just off the ice definitely stole the show in Ottawa.
Cameras, and then countless folks on the internet, noticed a curious figure seated directly behind the Senators’ bench. And what made this...
Sometimes a photo speaks more than words and this post contains an image from last night's Florida Panthers/Ottawa Senators that needs to be seen to be believed.
The image shows Ottawa Senators head coach Paul McLean and his possible twin sitting behind him at the Scotiabank Center:
The three headed monster is finally two-pronged. And no, I’m not referring to Robin Lehner’s goatee.
Today the Senators announced that they had returned Lehner back to their AHL affiliate in Binghamton. The decision to move the lauded prospect can hardly be categorized as a surprise. Given Ben Bishop’s contractual situation – a one-way deal...
With a mustache that would make Ron Burgundy proud, Ottawa Senators head coach Paul MacLean is a rather recognizable figure.
So it caught many by surprise when a man who looked exactly like the MacLean appeared behind the Senators’ bench during a game against the Florida Panthers on Monday.
The prank took some serious effort on the part of the imposter, as he not only replicated...
Add an assist on the #Sens fourth goal to Erik Karlsson. He finishes game with 1 goal, 2 assists. #Sensareback

I'm not sure if this should be placed in group D, or if this qualifies as a new group entirely - play where Karlsson doesn't touch the puck.
Great scorers they got working there at MTS.
OTTAWA (AP) -- Kyle Turris scored twice and Craig Anderson made 31 saves as the Ottawa Senators shut out the Florida Panthers 4-0 in their home opener Monday night.
Anderson, making his second straight start to open the season, picked up his 20th career shutout. Jim O'Brien and Jakob Silfverberg, with his first NHL goal, also scored for the Senators.
Jose Theodore was strong...

If you wanted a lesson on Paul MacLean's puck-possession system in Ottawa, the sixty minutes of tonight's tilt between the Panthers and Senators was ample instruction.
The Ottawa Senators controlled play for the vast majority of the night, applied consistent pressure on Florida Panthers netminder Jose Theodore, and left the...
OTTAWA -- As much as Canadians like to go south at this time of year, the Ottawa Senators always welcome a visit by the Florida Panthers. Former Panther Craig Anderson kicked aside 31 shots and Kyle Turris paced the attack with two goals as the Senators dumped Florida 4-0 in their home opener on Monday night at Scotiabank Place. The Senators have sent the Panthers away disappointed...

Quick post today, but some interesting news floating over from Europe concerning the Ottawa Senators and their interest in a star defenseman has certainly raised a few eyebrows.
According to Andrey Osadchenko, the Ottawa Senators have given defenseman Viktor Antipin of Magnitogorsk Metallurg a serious look, and are already in contract negotiations....
From Belly'sGo Sens Go to the more recent Peter Joynt CapCity track, the Ottawa Senators have become a popular source of material for local musicians and artists. With the conclusion of the lockout, it was only a matter of time before we could add another song to the stable of Senators inspired songs.
Reader Ken A. sent us an email alerting us to a new Sens-themed sing...

"And the fact I am criticized … There are different journalists. My opinion of Ottawa journalists is that they don 't watch hockey at all. When they fly with the team and go through the [metal detector] at an airport, their bags are filled with beer. You realize right away what these people do when they write about the NHL." ~ Alexei Kovalev, scapegoat – August...
The scoop per Yahoo! Canada contributor Andrey Osadchenko:
