Day by day the threat that the NBA season will not resume in 2011 gets more and more real. Even with mediator George Cohen stepping in to attempt to achieve a resolution, it seems games will be cancelled through November at least. Former players from other sports are even putting in their two cents. Former NHL player Bill Guerin, who played for the Bruins but is better remembered for his days with the Dallas Stars particularly during the NHL lockout of 2004-05, gave advice to his fellow professional athletes in the NBA claiming that threats of giving up a whole season are not worth it.    It is not worth it to any of them to burn games or to burn an entire year.
