The last couple days have been quite noteworthy in the National Hockey League as teams are solidifying their rosters for the start of the regular season. Here are the biggest pieces of news that Fantasy Hockey owners and NHL fans alike should be aware of.
Cody Franson- The 26-year-old defenseman ended his contract stalemate with the Toronto Maple Leafs by signing a 1-year $2-million bridge contract with the club after holding out throughout the summer and preseason. The Leafs are quite lucky to have had Franson sign for less than he is worth, as he was requesting $3.5-million. Due to cap restraints that the Leafs dug themselves into, Franson was limited to just the $2-million.
