The St. Louis Blues fell 4-2 to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night. It was the team's third consecutive loss and the once high-flying Blues now find themselves in eighth place in the Western Conference standings.  Head coach Ken Hitchcock has been telling reporters that his team has not "bought-in" to the system at this point, which is a big concern considering there are only 15 games remaining in this shortened season. Anytime a team is underachieving the way the Blues are, the general manager usually steps in and makes a trade to shake things up. Anytime a coach talks about guys not buying in, the general manager usually steps in and shakes things up. Basically, it is time for St. Louis Blues' general manager Doug Armstrong should make a move, but who should he trade? There are plenty of candidates to trade. David Perron has been moved from the top-line, to the second line, and is not on the third line and feels like a candidate despite signing a four yea...

St. Louis Blues: Vladimir Tarasenko needs more ice time

St. Louis Blues rookie forward sensation Vladimir Tarasenko scored a pair of goals in the Blues' lackluster 4-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night. Tarasenko easily looked like the best player wearing a Blues' sweater, yet he still finds himself on the Blues' third line. Tarasenko played only 13:23 on Thursday night, compared to 17:43 minutes of ice time...

St. Louis Blues: Patrik Berglund's demotion to fourth line should be permanent

In the St. Louis Blues' 4-2 loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday night, head coach Ken Hitchcock made an interesting lineup move after the second period. Hitchcock moved second line center Patrik Berglund down to the fourth line to play left wing. It was a move that should remain permanent until Berglund's play picks up and his activity drastically improves. Berglund...

Does Ken Hitchcock Have A Legitimate Complaint?

from Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Blues coach Ken Hitchcock had plenty to say about that bad break at the end — Richards’ goal that came after teammate Jeff Carter popped up the back of the net with a hefty shove from behind. That jarred the positioning of Blues goalie Jaroslav Halak, who stopped 37 of the Kings’ 40 shots Thursday. “Carter pushed...
