Found May 09, 2013 on The Detroit Sports Site:
The Anaheim Ducks needed just 1:54 in overtime on Wednesday — the third OT game during this hard-fought series between the Ducks and Detroit Red Wings — to find the back of the net and take a 3-2 series lead. Nick Bonino, with Detroit’s Joakim Andersson unsuccessfully trying to cover him, slapped home a one-timer off a pass from Ben Lovejoy to hand the Ducks a 3-2 win. Lovejoy took the puck near the Detroit blue line after a failed clearing attempt, danced around two defenders and slid the puck out front to Bonino. The Anaheim forward did the rest:

Corey Perry kicks Jimmy Howard in the balls not once, but twice (video/GIF)

During Wednesday’s match-up between the Anaheim Ducks and Detroit Red Wings in Game 5 of the teams’ Western Conference quarterfinals series, Ducks winger Corey Perry committed two separate egregious affronts to the crotchal region of Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard within a few-second time span. It appears that the first one netted Perry a two-minute [...]The post Corey Perry...

Red Wings make long trip back to Detroit

Red Wings fans propping their eyes open Thursday after staying up late for yet another overtime game on the West Coast are ready for realignment. Next season the Wings finally make their long-anticipated move to the Eastern Conference, meaning they won't have to make these cross-country trips back and forth -- unless it's in the Stanley Cup Finals. "The toughest thing...

Gotta Love This Sexy Detroit Red Wings Fan Obscene Gesture Toward Referee

This actually has me perplexed. Is this suppose to be a ‘F You ref, you suck’ gesture or is this suppose to be a ‘hey ref I think your hot come get some’ gesture. Either way, it kinda seems like a win-win situation to me. I’m just saying if I was walking down the street and I got the ‘F you’ gesture I wouldn’t be upset…. Thanks to BustedCoverage for the video…

Red Wings fan shakes her boobs

During a break in the action of Game 4 on Monday night, while the refs and crew were tending to broken plexiglass, a very spirited Red Wings fan decided to grab her breasticles and shake them for all they're worth (lots of $1 bills, one or two would think).  Have a look and in case you miss it the first time, this video has super slow mo:  Thanks to our friends...

Babcock States The Obvious

from Gregg Krupa of the Detroit News, "Well, obviously, we've got to win a game," Mike Babcock said. "I mean, that's where we're at. That's what we'll think about for the rest of the day off, and tomorrow we'll get back at it. "We've got to bounce back." Asked about scoring, especially timely scoring, which has lagged...

Pavel Datsyuk doing Datsyukian things

Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk put the Wings up 1-0 on Anaheim with this gloriously gorgeous goal:

Talk Before The Puck Drops Tonight

Coach Mike Babcock isn't overly concerned about having a lot of young guys in the lineup as the Wings face elimination, just because the Wings have changed so much this season overall. The biggest emphasis, he said after the morning skate, is to start well. Babcock relayed a discussion he had with young defenseman Brendan Smith during Wednesday's game in Anaheim. ...

Red Wings-Ducks Game 5 quick take: not enough grit between the ears

The Detroit Red Wings just dropped an awful 3-2 OT loss to the Anaheim Ducks, having whiffed on a 5-minute major power play (Daniel Winnik won't be suspended because Danny Cleary returned) and having absolutely abandoned Jimmy Howard to the wolves as the team was soft on the boards, soft on the soft ice and soft in the head...And now the Wings are heading back to Detroit needing...

Get Up, Rock!

This could be it, friends. This could very well be the last Red Wings game played as a member of the Western Conference. This could be the last game of an all too short season. This could be the end of our stress and the beginning of our summer-long depression. Hockey is a funny sport in that the harder working team can lose. A sport where a degenerate thug like Corey Perry can do...
