I love when magazine covers look so airbrushed that you're actually looking at a painting. Then the December issue of Cafe magazine was released in Sweden and Red Wings All World defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom appearing on the cover. Did the graphics team at Cafe magazine make Nick out to be an absolute stud with a chiseled chest, a defined six pack and nipples that look they're sliding off his pecs?

According to the hockey elite, Nick's best physical asset is probably his hands. It's obvious that the elitists have never been up close and personal with the 41 year old defenseman while shirtless. If you want to read the cover story on Lidstrom, here ya go, but you better grab the Swedish copy of Rosetta Stone before you do.

Nick is one of the best defenseman ever to play the game, but I guarantee that no blue liner of his caliber has more off-center nipples.  And on the topic of topless Swedish people, it took me exactly seven sentences before I mentioned the Swedish Bikini Team.  I'll blame Nick's abs for that.

GDT - Game #19:  Red Wings at Ducks (8:00)

Coach Babcock, post LAK game:  “The story of our year is we played a lot of good hockey and we’ve found ways to make enough mistakes that we haven’t been able to win enough.  And yet you can’t continually get 38 shots a game and give up 22 or 24 and not win. Eventually it’s going to happen for you.  “It’s not like we haven’t worked. But the results aren’t coming...

Red Wings-Ducks Preview

It's unclear if Jimmy Howard will start Sunday night for the Detroit Red Wings. There's little doubt that the Anaheim Ducks are hoping he won't be in goal.
