Yesterday, I posted that Carl Hagelin "is very eager" to return to his homeland and join Swedish second-their team Sodertalje during the NHL lockout.

But his agent, Alec Schall, is saying the Rangers winger hasn't made a decision yet (via New York Times)...

"We're absolutely exploring options in Sweden. That is Carl's hometown and the team where he played junior, and there is a chance that he will play there. We'll see what other options emerge for him, and we'll see what happens with the labor situation. No decisions have been made, no deals discussed. Just looking at the possibilities for Carl right now."

...i definitely don't begrudge Hagelin for looking at what options may be available too him, especially when it looks like both the players and owners aren't budging anytime soon.

...we got a brief quote from Halpern yesterday on his excitement about so many Rangers players sticking together during the lockout. Would love to hear a guy like Callahan address it. Doubt we'd get a criticism of Nash from the Rangers captain, but it would be interesting to get his thoughts.

Schall said he had no plans to meet with the Rangers about Hagelin, but would consult with them when Haglin considers his opportunities.

Meanwhile, Jeff Klein of the New York Times notes that the other Rangers European defector, Rick Nash, hasn't officially signed with H.C. Davos of Switzerland yet. His agent says that reports of Nash signing with the Swiss club were inaccurate but that the newest Ranger intended to sign with Davos once issues involving insurance and transfer papers were resolved.
