That only seems fair, despite Sid the Kid's scary concussion history.The Pittsburgh Penguins are prepared to lock in Crosby with a $104.2 million extension over 12 years, with an annual salary cap hit of $9 million. That deal, reported by TSN, came on the heels of Jordan Staal rejecting a 10-year, $60 million deal to stay in Pittsburgh.Staal moved on to Carolina in a trade. That exit, plus Crosby’s extension, will move Evgeni Malkin’s contract situation to the front burner.
