It is that time of year.  The weather is getting cooler, the leaves are just beginning to change and the puck is about to drop on another NHL season.  October is not only opening month; it is also when the NHL takes the opportunity to support cancer research with the Hockey Fights Cancer program and we NEED your help.

This year the Nashville Adult Hockey League (NAHL) is teaming up with the Nashville Predators, Yazoo Brewing Company and Hockey Plus Hockey Outfitter to raise money for pediatric cancer research.  The great thing about it is you can offer your support simply by showing up…it’s that easy!

When:

  • Wednesday, October 12th from 6pm to 9pm

Where:

  • Yazoo Brewing Company located at 910 Division St., Nashville TN

What:

  • This event will offer a cash bar with Yazoo beers being sold at a ridiculously low discounted rate.  ALL beers sales will be donated by Yazoo to the Nashville Predators Foundation in support of Hockey Fights Cancer.
  • There will also be a silent auction featuring Nashville Predators items, Yazoo Brewing Company items and much more.  100% of silent auction sales will be donated to the Nashville Predators Foundation to support the Hockey Fights Cancer program.
  • The first 100 guests will receive a NHL Hockey Fights Cancer lapel pin.
  •  The Nashville Predators will host their official Hockey Fights Cancer event night on October 27th and they have asked the Nashville Adult Hockey League to help sell tickets.  A portion of tickets sold by the NAHL will add to the total money raised by the NAHL for the Hockey Fights Cancer program.
  • Also the team that sells the most tickets (minimum of 40 tickets sold) will get 1 hour of ice time at the Bridgestone Arena after the game on the 27th.  You can do what ever you want with this 1 hour.  Invite a team to play, use it as practice time or simply do bare belly slides across the ice and compare scratches…it’s whatever.
  • Here is the link to to purchase tickets for the October 27th game. Make sure that when people purchase the tickets they include your team name so that each ticket gets counted toward your team’s effort. http://www.nashvillepredators.com/hockeyfightscancer
