It was a good weekend for the Kitchener Rangers. Despite dropping a game, the Rangers had most of their star players, who are expected to lead the team, return to the lineup after attending NHL training camps.
The Predators have trimmed their training camp roster by two this morning, saying goodbye to a pair of semi-notable defensemen. The club announced they’ve reassigned first-round pick Cameron Reid to OHL Kitchener and released Scott Harrington from his professional tryout.
The Preds traded the 23rd and 67th picks to the Ottawa Senators to move up and draft 21st, where they selected defender Cameron Reid, who may have fallen a little to get there — many scouting reports had him ranked a few places higher.
