Joey Crabb is a very old prospect at age 26, who has only played 43 NHL games. Crabb is not a top 6 offensive player although his best hockey season was last year, recording 24 goals and 53 points over 79 games with the AHL team Chicago Wolves. As a junior he enjoyed an outstanding season in 2004-05, helping the Colorado College Tigers earn a trip to the Frozen Four. Crabb was a significant offensive contributor at that time to an already offesively deep Colorado team. As he finished the season, third on the team in scoring with 32 points (16 goals & 16 assists). When I watch Crabb I feel that he has good size with physically play, with average playmaking skills. Along with outstanding play in and around the net, both on the offensive and defensive sides. Crabb will never be a player that will make an impact on your fantasy teams. But on the 3rd or 4th line in the NHL Crabb will definitely give a load of energy to his team through his physical play.
