Found December 29, 2011 on Rangers Report:
This is what happens when you play well for an extended period of a season and people take notice … teams that might not be so good, or not playing so great, find another gear when they play you. It becomes a big game for them. And that really hasn’t happened much since 1997. And it sure happened last night. Thoughts: 1) The Rangers were out-hit, without a doubt. But the statisticians at that arena that changes names every five minutes had the Rangers for 15 total hits in the game. Pass the bong. 2) Not sure what he does the rest of the time, but against the Rangers, Jason Chimera=Beast. Oh, and Mike Knuble for Rob DiMaio. My God. 3) Those were some God-awful plays by Brian Boyle and Brad Richards on the goals in the second. Richards has been lousy since that goal with 00:00.1 left in Glendale. 4) The Rangers had a decent power play late, but the first couple, and for some in recent games, they’ve regressed to standing around as they did early in the year, when the PP...

Olivia Munn: Loved by Rangers fans

The New York Rangers have been red-hot and the NYC gossip rags report that fans were seen giving high-fives and thanking the model-actress -- who is reportedly dating Brad Richards -- after a recent win.

Richards Bomb Best Part of HBO 24/7 Episode III

As you all know, I was down on the Brad Richards signing and despite the impressive start to his Rangers career I've been hesitant to jump on the Richards bandwagon. That was until last night's third episode of HBO's 24/7 when he responded to the recently called up Flyers winger Tom Sestito's chirping from the Flyers bench during the first period of last Friday'...

TheNYRBlog Reader Misses Richards Miracle Goal

TheNYRBlog reader Matt Z. e-mailed me that he attended the Brad Richards miracle goal game in Phoenix two weeks ago, but missed the game winner because he was staring at the scoreboard. Matt also indicated that he can be seen doing this on the video of the goal. So I was able to get this awesome screen grab off YouTube of Matt basically ignoring what could be the play of the year...

Munn is Rangers Good Luck Charm

Back in November I posted that the Rangers improved play after a rocky start to the season coincided with Brad Richards beginning to date actress Olivia Munn, well the New York Post reports that the two are still dating and Blueshirt fans have begun to think she is the team's good luck charm as evidenced by their reaction to her during the Rangers 3-0 win against the Islanders...

Best scene from 24/7 last night: Brad Richard's chirp

How clutch is thenyrangersblog? They posted the entire 24/7 show from last night. Here it is...   The best scene, about midway through,  is Brad Richards chirping some Flyer dude named Tom Sestito. Richards tells him this is like NHL fantasy camp for him.

Olivia Munn is 10 Tissue Hot - Break Out the Kleenex!

Olivia Munn is a Dynamo!  She is an American comedic actress, model, television personality and author.  The Oklahoma City native is currently dating New York Rangers player Brad Richards.  He has gone as far to call her the teams “good luck charm.”  Brad scored a major goal, because this 31 year old is sexy, hot, cute, funny – the perfect chick!    This fireball has...

It’s a Musings day, the last of 2011 and what a year it has been. The Rangers have given us a lot to smile about toward the end of this year haven’t they? Without further ado, let’s throw ourselves into another post of ramblings New York Rangers 2011. What do you think of when you think of this year’s edition? I think progress, youth, a bright future and significant change...

Rangers snap back into win column vs. Panthers

Brad Richards snapped out of a five-game pointless streak Friday night, and the Rangers snapped back into the winning column with him, dropping the host Panthers 4-1 at BankAtlantic Center.

Rangers This Year's Surprise Team

I never thought that I would see the day when the New York Rangers were leading the Eastern Conference with a 22-8-4 record in late December. My hopes for the team this season were slightly higher than usual, I'll give you that much, but by no means did I expect the Blueshirts to have less than ten losses through 33 games played. And not only that, I did not foresee this team...

Recap: Florida vs. NY Rangers

Brad Richards and Carl Hagelin each scored once and recorded an assist to lead the Rangers over the Panthers, 4-1, at BankAtlantic Center.

Rangers Pounce On Panthers Early in 4-1 Win

The New York Rangers bounced back from Wednesday’s 4-1 loss against Washington with a 4-1 win over the Florida Panthers Friday night.  New York grabbed control of the game from the start and with the win retook first place in the Eastern Conference, one point of the idle Boston Bruins.  The Rangers will have the next two days off before hitting the ice Monday in Bridgestone...
