Editor’s Note: This post was written prior to the Rangers/Flyers game last night. The numbers reflected in Dubinsky’s shot total and shooting percentage may be different when this post is published. However, they should not be that far off, barring a 5 goal night for the struggling center/winger.
There have been enough games played in the NHL season where we can start looking...
The Rangers blue line could look a lot different in the summer of 2012. There’s a chance that next season the Rangers will start six defensemen that have seen the ice this in New York season but don’t expect that six to include Steve Eminger, Anton Stralman and Jeff Woywitka.
All three journeyman pros have expiring contracts and are likely to be let go; at most one may be retained...
… As everyone knows, I have been a huge advocate of Carl Hagelin on the main Rangers roster since before the offseason. I have been highly impressed with his skill and speed. Nothing like having a burst of energy and youth on a roster that was without it for so many seasons. Stu Bickel was [...]
Marian Gaborik is your new goal-scoring leader.
He got it done during Friday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers in the third period.
Gaborik notched his 21st of the season, separating himself from the pack, which consists of Jonathan Toews, Steven Stamkos and Phil Kessel, all with 20 goals.
Gaborik also has 11 assists this season and 32 points.

Here is an excerpt, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly.
All it took was one game at the old Spectrum, and I bled orange and black for life.
I was about seven years old when my...
The New York Rangers are in agreement that being in first place at the two-day Christmas break doesn't guarantee anything come April.
But after three wins in four nights against Atlantic Division foes, the Broadway Blueshirts are more than happy to be on top of the pack.
Henrik Lundqvist made 28 saves in his second win over powerful Philadelphia this season, and rookie defenseman...

Henrik Lundqvist made 28 saves in his second win against Philadelphia this season and rookie defenseman Stu Bickel had two more assists for the host New York Rangers, who beat the Flyers, 4-2, Friday night to move into first place in the Atlantic Division. Bickel, in his third NHL game, helped to set up goals by Derek Stepan and Ruslan Fedotenko in the second period.
Flyers coach Peter Laviolette shoved Dallas Star LW Steve Ott out of the way as the two headed into their respective lockers at the end of the first period last night. It seems somebody had the right...

Just when you thought nothing could possibly top last week's premier episode of HBO's 24/7: Road to the NHL Winter Classic series, episode 2 stole the spotlight by a mile. Really, that was an extraordinary 60 minutes of television - maybe the best I've ever seen.
In episode two we get to see a lot more of the off-ice stuff, which is really what 24/7 is geared to...
