NY Rangers Blog:
Larry Brooks at the New York Post reports that the Rangers' discussions with Anaheim this week regarding a possible trade for Bobby Ryan never reached the stage where the clubs exchanged proposals.Brooks adds that the Ducks never identified the Ranger players they wanted, while Glen Sather never made a concrete proposal, though it is believed he established general parameters about who he might be willing to give up....i've seen other reports that said Ducks did make specific requests so it's hard to really know what was discussed, but I guess it doesn't really matter since Ryan's off the market now....all I know is that the Rangers have won 11 of their last 13 without Ryan, so there was no great urgency to add him to the team.Remember to follow me on Twitter & Facebook or e-mail me at email@example.com.

Loyal readers of this blog know that I love trade rumours. Not just trade rumours, but when you’re sitting around with your buddies and say “hey, what do you think the Canucks would have to give up to get Shea Weber”. Love it. I even came up with my own trade proposal last season, trying to figure out a way to get Jarome Iginla (if Calgary ever agreed to that deal, I’m certain...
RALEIGH, N.C. — The Rangers’ discussions with Anaheim this week regarding a possible trade for Ducks’ winger Bobby Ryan never reached the stage where the clubs exchanged proposals, a source familiar with the situation told The Post before the Rangers’ 5-3 victory last night over the deficient Hurricanes.
Welcome to the Hotstove! As always, I'm your host, Travis Yost.
In the hockey blogosphere, no topic is hotter than the recent trade rumors encircling Anaheim's prized winger, Bobby Ryan. Only a handful of times since the lockout have we seen such a major name become publicly available this early in a regular season, and by various accounts, there could be a dozen - or...
The hockey world was getting all excited about the possibility that Anaheim forward Bobby Ryan was on the trade block.
The Ducks were floundering and something had to give. As a much-coveted asset, Ryan could fetch an awesome return in a trade.
What team couldn't use a proven goal scorer with a robust playing style?
Anaheim coach Randy Carlyle relegated Ryan to his third line...
We take this break from all the Bobby Ryan talks/discussions/rumors/prospective trades to get back to actual hockey. The Rangers kick off a quick two-game roadie in Carolina against the slumping Hurricanes. Carolina fired coach Paul Maurice on Cyber Black Monday, replacing him with Kirk Muller, who brought in another ex-Devil, and ex-Ranger, John MacLean, as his assistant coach Thursday...
I spent quite a bit of time last night on Twitter answering questions as to whether or not the Buffalo Sabres are pursuing a trade for Anaheim Ducks rockstar forward, Bobby Ryan.
First, let me preface this by telling you that I've been told that the Ananheim coach, Randy Carlyle will likely be dismissed before a star player like Ryan is traded. Players like Ryan do not grow...
Nick Kypreos at Sportsnet reports that Ducks GM Bob Murray has assured Bobby Ryan he is off the trade market today. Kypreos was also told Ryan's desire to be moved is no longer an issue....wonder what Kypreos means by today. What about tomorrow?...in all seriousness, while Ryan is an elite talent, the Rangers would have had to give up way too much and I really think it would...

Thursday is somewhat busy night with eight games on the schedule. Perhaps there will be a few start/sit decisions in fantasy lineups, but I’ll use the opportunity to identify some unlikely names that could possess some immediate value and some usual names that are mired in slumps. And no, Bobby Ryan hasn’t been traded yet.

I just love saying the word potpourri. How many of you just called it “Pot Porry” right now? Me too, for a long time, longer than I’d care to admit.
Well, a bit of news around the league last few days, all involving coaches getting fired and at least one, Bruce “Gabby” Boudreau already re-hired in Anaheim. In case you missed it, late last night...
