The San Jose Sharks may be relieved to end February, but they'd like to do it in positive fashion. Taking the ice at home against the struggling Detroit Red Wings should help. The Sharks go for back-to-back wins for the first time this month on Thursday night when they attempt to continue their home success against the Red Wings. San Jose (9-6-3) has gone 2-6-3 this month, scoring 15 goals in that span after totaling 29 during a franchise-best 7-0-0 start. Going 3 for 51 on the power play in February is one of the major problems. "We're not scoring as much as we'd like, and we're trying to fix that," coach Todd McLellan said. "Some of that comes through the power play, and we're trying to fix that." The Sharks are also proving to be much better at home, going 6-1-2 while dropping six of their last seven on the road.
