The Detroit Red Wings announced Monday that they have agreed to terms with left wing Tomas Tatar on a new three-year contract. According to the Detroit Free Press, the average annual value to be $2.75 million. Tatar, 23, completed his first full NHL season in 2013-14, ranking sixth on the team with 39 points (19-20-39) in 73 games. He also represented Slovakia at the 2014 Sochi Olympics and had one goal and one assist in four games. The Red Wings selected Tatar in the second round (No. 60) of the 2009 NHL Draft. He has 24 goals and 23 assists in 100 games for the Red Wings. Really excited to be a red wing for another 3 years.
