The Bruins and Blackhawks got the trade ball rolling. According to Darren Dreger and The Hockey News, the B’s have traded Maxime Sauve to Chicago for center Rob Flick. Flick, 22, has three goals and two assists in 51 games this season for the Rockford IceHogs. He has 97 PIMs to go with seven fights, including some involvement in this epic brawl with the Canucks’ AHL affiliate just last month. The 6-foot-3, 208-pounder was selected by the Blackhawks in the fourth round (No. 120 overall) of the 2010 NHL entry draft. With the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors during the 2010-11 season, he potted 27 goals and helped out on 30 more in 68 games to go with 167 PIMs. During his stint with the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors, Flick played with fellow new Bruin, Kaspars Daugavins (during the 2008-09 season). Sauve, 23, has 10 goals and 13 assists in 52 games for the Providence Bruins this season. The No. 47 overall pick in 2008 made one appearance for Boston in his four years with the organization.
