Everybody seems to want Jarome Iginla at this year’s NHL trade deadline, and that competition will only heat up as the April 3 trade deadline nears. While no front runner for the forward’s services has emerged, it appears that a quartet of teams is staying involved with the Calgary Flames. The Bruins are one of those four teams, according to TSN’s Darren Dreger. As Dreger sees it, Boston, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles and Chicago are four teams having “ongoing conversations” with Calgary. Iginla, 35, is having another strong season for the struggling Flames. Through 29 games, he has eight goals and 13 assists, with those 21 point totals the third most on the squad. Over the course of a 15-year NHL career, the right winger has compiled 524 goals and 570 assists.

The Bruins Should Trade For Iginla

Previously on this great hockey forum of ours, Landon Ewaniuk speculated that a deal for Calgary Flames winger and franchise face, Jarome Iginla was more likely in the offseason than by the trade deadline.  I do not dispute that assertion at all.  We may indeed be looking at something like the Rick Nash deal.  I would contend, however, that the Boston Bruins would be better served...
