The goaltending plot has thickened in Edmonton... The Oilers have signed UFA goaltender Martin Gerber to a $500,000, one-year contract. This is obviously a move to strengthen the Oilers AHL team, as Gerber will receive $200,000 this season if he plays in Oklahoma City. Great signing by Edmonton.
