CALGARY, Alberta (AP) -- Curtis Glencross helps out in the chuckwagon barns every summer during the Calgary Stampede, so it was quite fitting that his second career hat trick was greeted to a hail of stetsons.
Glencross scored three times in the third period to lead Calgary to a 6-3 victory over the Nashville Predators on Friday night, giving the Flames their sixth straight home win.
Glencross made it 4-1 at 1:14 of the final period when Lee Stempniak's slap shot from the opposite wing rang off the goal post and caromed off Glencross as he was driving the net.
After Mike Fisher got Nashville back within two at 3:15, Glencross struck again at 5:32, converting a setup from Stempniak. The third came into an empty net with 20 seconds left, prompting the white stetsons given away during "Western Night" at the Scotiabank Saddledome to be thrown onto the ice.
