GARTH: McNasty Boxing Day
If Buffalo, NY had its own official paper currency, its a lead pipe cinch that the faces of Brayden McNabb and Zack Kassian would appear on it. McNabb has become a true blue and gold folk hero in Buffalo this season. Ditto Kassian. Two young bucks, with blue collar DNA coarsing through their veins, busting their asses, imposing their iron wills to make the Sabres a winning team. More on Kassian...

Kevin Freiheit: Much Needed Win
Follow @KevinSHC
It's about time.
It was so nice to see the Sabres get the win against Washington last night, especially since they went out to a 4-0 lead. I was hoping they would get a few more goals, but Buffalo got the win, so I'm not going to complain.
I loved how the Sabres D was involved in big plays throughout the game, and Christian Ehrhoff's wrist shot...

Caps pull a no-show in 4-2 loss to Buffalo
BUFFALO, N.Y. — It started poorly: a penalty on Roman Hamrlik just nine seconds in. It got worse: a goal by Jason Pominville on the ensuing power play 42 seconds later. What happened after that almost defies words, as the Washington Capitals put on a listless, lethargic and lackluster performance ...
