Anaheim Ducks center Saku Koivu scored the tying goal in the third period of Monday night's win over the San Jose Sharks with some help from the endboards behind the Sharks net at the Honda Center. Sharks center Tommy Wingels tried to dump the puck around the boards behind the net, but one of the endboards kicked the puck right in front of the Sharks net, perfectly placed for Koivu. Sharks goaltender Thomas Griess never saw it and had no chance. The Ducks won the game 2-1. Video via NHLVideo. The Confident Backup Goalie In Anaheim

from Eric Stephens of Ducks Blog, Viktor Fasth has proven to be a quick study and a welcome presence in the Ducks’ dressing room. Ducks dump Sharks on Souray's late goal

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- All it took to keep the Anaheim Ducks close after the visiting San Jose Sharks took an early lead in a Monday night matchup between the two hottest teams in the NHL's Pacific Division: a little grit. All it took for the Ducks to tie it up late: a little luck. All it took for Anaheim to finally seize control: a little Sheldon Souray. The Ducks scored twice...

Ducks' Viktor Fasth making most of audition between the pipes

As the momentum from the United States' triumph at the World Junior Championships spilled over into the start of an abbreviated NHL season, there was much ado about Anaheim Ducks 2011 second-rounder John Gibson. Gibson, who carried the Americans to gold in Ufa, was extended an invitation to Ducks camp and widely seen as the goaltender of the future in Anaheim. As for the...

Streaking Ducks shut out Avalanche

In just a short...

Steve Palumbo: Ducks Game Day: Anaheim's Resurgent Offense Faces the Sharks Tonight

The Anaheim Ducks (5-1-1) can put an exclamation point on a heck of a weekend tonight with a win against the Pacific Division leading San Jose Sharks.
