Sean Avery may have announced on the Bravo Network that he’s retired, but that’s not stopping talks that he may play elsewhere next season.
Sean Avery may have said he's done, but his agent doesn't think so.
Avery’s agent, Pat Morris of Newport Sports Management, told CBC.ca that there will be further discussion on Avery’s NHL career after his four-year contract expires July 1.
Morris also told the Canadian Press in an email that Avery’s comment shouldn’t be taken seriously.

“He has spoken in a joking manner to a question,” Morris told The Canadian Press in an e-mail. “Not his desire to retire. That will be determined by any interest in the summer or early in the season.”
Avery did, after all, make the “retirement” comment on Bravo TV.
Avery said he has an interest to pursue advertising rather than hockey, even if it’s a stint in Europe, according to the CBC.ca article.
