Well. That didn’t take long at all.
A day after it was reported that Jonathan Quick troll TJ Galiardi had been put on the trading block, the Sharks found a new home for the forward. Galiardi was sent to his hometown Calgary Flames in exchange for a 2015 fourth-round pick.
Galiardi, who’s a restricted free agent, effectively became expendable when the Sharks acquired Tyler Kennedy from the Penguins on Sunday. Last year’s first-round draft pick Tomas Hertl is expected to join the Sharks’ corps of forwards this season as well.
We can expect to see Galiardi have a magical season for the Flames now that he’s no longer being held back by the Sharks, much like other recent former SJ-ers Daniel Winnik, Michal Handzus and Ryane Clowe. I’m only half-kidding now, but you just watch.
Wow! My lifelong dream has come true!! #FLAMES

So much for that.
It’s now likely Kennedy is going to be a (more expensive) replacement for T.J. Galiardi, who, Kevin Kurz reports is now being shopped around by the Sharks for a trade.
Galiardi, 25, is about to become a...

The Calgary Flames have acquired forward TJ Galiardi from the San Jose Sharks, according to Pierre LeBrun.
Calgary will reportedly give up a 4th round draft pick for Galiardi's services.
The San Jose Sharks signed a pair of Group II restricted free agent goaltenders today, giving both Harri Sateri (one year) and Troy Grosenick (two years) extensions. Sateri was selected by San Jose in the fourth round (106th overall) of the 2008 NHL Draft. In 2012-13, Sateri played in 39 games with the Worcester Sharks of the AHL, posting a 2.89 goals against average, [...]
